This prayer card is offered during this time of fear and pain for the immigrant community in the US, and for all who strive to build the beloved community. It can recited privately or with a group. We invite you to offer copies to others.

An immigrant’s prayer/Oración del inmigrante
O holy God,
Heart of heaven and earth, praised be your holy name. Your children, from all peoples of the world, regardless of borders, praise you.
We praise you and give you thanks because you have placed in our midst your beloveds, migrants, asylees and refugees.
We ask for your mercy in how we have failed to be doers of your love for our immigrant children, workers, students, parents, torture survivors and trafficked persons who are terrorized by ICE and inhumane migration policy.
We ask for your grace to be impelled by the Suffering Christ in our midst, and pray for your blessings on all faith leaders, activists, communities, NGOs, and elected officials who are acting in continued solidarity, which is your love in action.
Love is never indifferent.
We praise you and give you thanks because you walk always with those who cross borders, in search of wellbeing and safety.
O Lady of Guadalupe, mother of the Americas, be always our protector and intercessor for love, nonviolence, and the building of just peace for all.

Corazón del cielo y de la tierra, alabado sea tu nombre bendito. Tus hijos e hijas, de todos los pueblos del mundo, sin importar las fronteras, te alaban.
Te alabamos y te damos gracias porque has puesto entre nosotros a tus amadas y amados, migrantes, asilados y refugiados.
Pedimos tu misericordia porque hemos fallado en llevar tu amor a las personas migrantes, que son hijos e hijas, trabajadoras, estudiantes, padres y madres, sobrevivientes de tortura y víctimas de trata, que están siendo aterrorizadas por el Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE) y las políticas migratorias inhumanas.
Te pedimos tu gracia para que nos dejemos impulsar por el Cristo Sufriente entre nosotros, y pedimos tus bendiciones para todos los líderes religiosos, activistas, comunidades, ONGs y funcionarios electos que actúan en continua solidaridad, que es tu amor en acción.
El amor nunca es indiferente.
Te alabamos y te damos gracias porque siempre caminas junto a quienes cruzan fronteras en busca de bienestar y seguridad.
Oh Señora de Guadalupe, Madre Tierna de las Américas, sé siempre nuestra protectora e intercesora del amor, la noviolencia y la construcción de una paz justa para todos.
